Ottoman White (Mocha Cream), which is used in many historical structures, is the oldest and most robust marble that has survived from past to present with thousands of years of history.

Throughout history, it has been used as the primary building material in many historical structures, built by many civilizations such as the Ottoman Empire, the Seljuk State, the Urartian Kingdom, the Persian Empire, the Anatolian Principalities, and the Eastern Roman Empire. These structures are still surviving even after thousands of years and are being visited by tourists from various parts of the world today.

GENERAL PROPERTIES

Structural Characteristics:

Unlike many other marbles and natural stones, Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) doesn’t contain fossils, clay, soil structures, etc.

Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) doesn’t contain cracks and veins in its structure.

It has two different colour selections as White and Green White in Colour Selection.

It is a homogeneous material in terms of colour, structure, texture and pattern distribution.

Polishing Capacity:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has a high polishing capacity as a result of physical analysis.

Production Properties:

Due to its structure, Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) is a material that can be easily processed and produced in every desired dimension, thickness and surface finish, in all kinds of block, slab, tile productions.

The Density:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has a density of 2.7(g/cm³) as a result of ASTM D5550 tests.

 

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

%100 Compatibility with Concrete:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) provides chemical adhesion in addition to physical adhesion with concrete thanks to the minerals and compounds in its structure.

Thanks to this physical and chemical adhesion, it is 100% compatible with concrete.

High Adhesion Capacity:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has high adhesion capacity as a result of physical analysis.

 

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Compressive Strength:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has High Compressive Strength as a result of physical analysis.

It has been scientifically proven to have an average 107Mpa Compressive Strength as a result of Uniaxial Compressive Strength Tests which have been conducted under the correct ambient conditions in accordance with TS EN 1926 standards by the T.C Mineral Research and Exploration Institute.

Impact Resistance:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has High Impact Resistance as a result of physical analysis.

It has been scientifically proven to have an average 29Mpa Impact Resistance as a result of Impact Resistance Tests which have been conducted under the correct ambient conditions in accordance with TS EN 699 standards by the T.C Mineral Research and Exploration Institute.

Hardness:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has High Hardness (Mohs) as a result of physical analysis.

It has been scientifically proven to have an average 4 Mohs Hardness as a result of Hardness Tests which have been conducted under the correct ambient conditions in accordance with TS 6809 standards by the T.C Mineral Research and Exploration Institute.

Abrasion Resistance:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has High Abrasion Resistance as a result of physical analysis.

It has been scientifically proven to have an average 22.5Mpa Abrasion Resistance for Volume/Abrasion Surface as a result of Abrasion Resistance Tests which have been conducted under the correct ambient conditions in accordance with TS EN 14157 standards by the T.C Mineral Research and Exploration Institute.

Freezing Resistance:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has High Freezing Resistance as a result of physical analysis.

It has been scientifically proven to have an average %-6,5 difference in compressive strength in samples as a result of After and Before Freezing Uniaxial Compressive Strength Tests which have been conducted under the correct ambient conditions in accordance with TS EN 12371 standards by the T.C Mineral Research and Exploration Institute.

The Rate of Water Absorption:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has High Water Absorption Resistance as a result of physical analysis.

It has been scientifically proven to have an average %2,4 Water Absorption Rate Under Atmospheric Pressure by Mass as a result of Under Atmospheric Pressure Water Absorption Rate Tests which have been conducted under the correct ambient conditions in accordance with TS EN 13755 standards by the T.C Mineral Research and Exploration Institute.

It has been scientifically proven to have an average %2,5 Water Absorption Rate Under Boiling Water by Mass as a result of Boiling Water Absorption Rate Tests which have been conducted under the correct ambient conditions in accordance with TS 699 standards by the T.C Mineral Research and Exploration Institute.

Flexural Strength:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has High Flexural Strength as a result of physical analysis.

It has been scientifically proven to have an average 16.7 Mpa Flexural Strength as a result of Flexural Strength Under Concentrated Load Tests which have been conducted under the correct ambient conditions in accordance with TS EN 12372 standards by the T.C Mineral Research and Exploration Institute.

It has been scientifically proven to have an average 14.1Mpa Flexural Strength as a result of Flexural Strength Under Constant Moment Tests which have been conducted under the correct ambient conditions in accordance with TS EN 13161 standards by the T.C Mineral Research and Exploration Institute.

Extreme High/Low-Temperature Resistance:

It has been scientifically determined that Ottoman White (Mocha Cream) has High-Temperature Resistance against Extreme High or Extreme Low Temperatures as a result of physical analysis.

Loss of Colour:

As a result of the physical analysis of Ottoman White (Mocha Cream), no colour loss was observed.
